Jarrian Jones (Cornerback)

Jarrian Jones is one of the top prospects from a talented Florida State defense, where Jones and teammate Renardo Green held down the fort at the cornerback position. Jones had a long way to go when he took his first snaps with Florida State in 2021, where he would get bullied, allowing 21 receptions off 30 targets and five touchdowns, where quarterbacks had an average of 130 when targeting him.

After that season, Jones never allowed another touchdown in his college career, as he took a massive leap in 2022, allowing no touchdowns with only 114 yards given up. Jones would have his best season in 2023 as he recorded 3 interceptions and allowed only 16 catches for 158 yards and no touchdowns, with quarterbacks having a 25.3 rating when targeting him.

Jones can play both outside and in the slot, and with Tre'davious White having back-to-back season-ending injuries in back-to-back seasons, along with having a cap hit over $16 million, there's a good chance that Buffalo moves on from White and looks for his replacement in the second or third round. Jones is projected as the 95th-best prospect according to PFF and has a PFF grade of 90.1 in 2023.

Jones' strengths are in zone schemes, which fit the Bills' coverage scheme, while Jones can also play man pretty well. Jones is intelligent, explodes off the snap, and plays quickly. However, he can get sloppy sometimes from a technical perspective, which results in plenty of penalties.
