After the Buffalo Bills lost Tremaine Edmunds in free agency, the franchise elected to go with an open competition to replace him. They wouldn't really sign any veterans outside of the organization and hope someone in the group of Tyrel Dodson, Terrel Bernard, Baylon Spector, A.J. Klein or Dorian Williams would emerge during training camp as the starter.

That competition would quickly shrink to Dodson and Bernard but with Dodson struggling in the first preseason game and Bernard dealing with a hamstring injury, the middle linebacker position is definitely a concern, as Sean McDermott noted on Thursday morning according to Joe Buscaglia.

With the regular season less than a month away, the options for the Buffalo Bills are pretty limited at this point of the year. However, every avenue should be on the table and the franchise should look to try to find a solution sooner rather than later.

These are five options the Buffalo Bills could take to address the middle linebacker position.
