Boogie Basham

In the 2021 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills drafted Greg Rousseau in the first round to try and improve the defensive end position. That pick has certainly worked out and he continues to be a key part of the defense.

However, in the second round the Bills went back to the position and selected Boogie Basham. At the time, Basham was the more experienced defensive end and seemed to be closer to being a consistent producer.

That didn't end up happening and he had only 4.5 sacks over two seasons before the Bills traded him right before the 2023 season to the New York Giants. When factoring in the fact that the next two picks have been full-time starters on the offensive line for their respective teams, Josh Myers with the Packers and Creed Humphrey with the Chiefs, it makes this pick even worse.
