Taron Johnson (9/10)

2023 Second-team All-Pro Taron Johnson got injured near the end of the Steelers game with a head injury, and his absence was very noticeable. Johnson is the heart of this McDermott defense, being one of the best slot corners in the league and the second-leading tackler on the team.

Johnson has a contagious, energetic aura that he brings to the defense and is also one of the captains who helps bring physicality to the gritty Bills team. Johnson's absence was noticed when his backup, Cam Lewis, filled in for him later in the game this past Sunday. Lewis struggled heavily against the Steelers' offense toward the end, and one can only imagine how much he will struggle against an offense like the Chiefs.

McDermott confirmed that Johnson is in concussion protocol and is questionable for Sunday. These types of injuries can range from just a couple of days to a month, depending on how bad the injury is, so fans will hope he's back for Sunday.
