4.) Boogie Basham shines on the defense

The defensive line overall did a great job against the Colts, but it was Boogie Basham whose name was often called the most during the game on defense when he was on the field. He recorded three tackles which include one sack on Gardner Minshew’s second play on the offense.

In addition, he added one of the six quarterback hits. Basham was able to take on blocks and help create a pile to stop the run and create pressure against the pass. He was a player who needed to show that he can be a reliable pass rusher for the Bills, with him going into the third year of his rookie contract. 

He outperformed teammate A.J. Epenesa, and was arguably the best player on some drives to stop the Colts. This was a good showing from Basham moving forward and he may very well see some playing time in the regular season if he does continue this momentum.
