While a case could be made early in the season that Elam was inactive because of the other options the team had, it is a pretty clear indication of the coaching staff's confidence in Elam if he is inactive and a player who they just signed less than two weeks ago plays.

The NFL trade deadline is less than a week away and the Buffalo Bills should seriously consider moving Kaiir Elam before that.
