Jonathan Greenard

Jonathan Greenard was a popular under-the-radar free agent target for the Buffalo Bills at defensive end. The team entered free agency with some big questions with three of their five players from last year's team set to be free agents.

The Bills ultimately would end up bringing back A.J. Epenesa and was a much better move than breaking the bank for Jonathan Greenard. The former Texans' pass rusher would end up signing a four-year deal worth $76 million.

Greenard had a breakout season with the Texans last year as he recorded 12.5 sacks and 22 QB hits but the three years prior were inconsistent. He would play only 33 games over his first three seasons and had 10.5 sacks and 19 QB hits in total.

There is a chance this was just the beginning of a productive career for Greenard but the contract he received is too big of a risk and the Bills were wise to stay away.
