The Buffalo Bills had to make some tough decisions this week and one of those moves was releasing Jordan Poyer. The former All-Pro safety played the last seven seasons in this defense alongside Micah Hyde and together they were one of the best safety duos in the league.

While there is a chance Hyde could return as he is a free agent, it appears the Bills are going to be looking for a fresh start at the position. One half of that fresh start seems to be in place as the Bills reportedly signed Taylor Rapp to a three-year deal.

Rapp joined the Bills as a free agent last offseason and was primarily a backup but did start four games for Buffalo. When considering the contract the two sides agreed to, it is clear the team views Taylor Rapp as a full-time starter for the 2024 season.

The Buffalo Bills will be looking for the other half of the safety position over the next few weeks and could be looking for a long-term solution to pair with Rapp. The hope would be to recreate what they had with Hyde and Poyer in two players who can develop and improve together.

With that in mind, these are five free agent safeties that could be good for the Buffalo Bills to pair with Taylor Rapp.
