5 free agent returners still available that the Buffalo Bills could sign
Among the extended roster cuts the Buffalo Bills had to make at the beginning of March was wide receiver Deonte Harty. He was signed as a free agent last offseason and while he didn't make an impact on offense, he was an effective returner with 26 punt returns for an average of 12.4 yards per punt.
On kickoffs, there wasn't a clear returner as six different players returned kickoffs last season but Ty Johnson had the most at eight. However, the NFL is implementing new rules for the upcoming season on kickoffs that makes the returner much more important as kickoff returns are expected to significantly increase with a touchback being moved up to the 30 yard line.
The Bills do still have players on the roster who can return kicks, both kickoff and punts, like Johnson and Khalil Shakir but with a renewed focus on this part of the game by the league, the Buffalo Bills may want to add players who specialize in returning kicks. These are five players that could fit that role.
