The Buffalo Bills have been busy since the end of the 2024 NFL Draft as they have added a number of veteran free agents. They would sign wide receivers Quintez Cephus and Chase Claypool, linebacker Deion Jones, and defensive end Dawuane Smoot.
One area that hasn't really been addressed yet this offseason is cornerback outside of sixth-round pick Daequan Hardy in the 2024 NFL Draft. This is one part of the roster that could certainly use some experience to solidify the position after losing Tre'Davious White and Dane Jackson this offseason.
The starters seem to be pretty much locked in with Rasul Douglas and Christian Benford on the outside and Taron Johnson as the nickel. After these three, the top backup is Kaiir Elam who has struggled to see the field and was a healthy scratch for most of last season.
When considering the Bills saw both Douglas and Benford miss time last year, it would be valuable to have a veteran with starting experience ready to step in. The challenge is for some of the free agents still available, they have typically been only starters in their careers.
