5 way-too-early 2024 NFL Draft targets for the Buffalo Bills
By Oliver Mintz
Kalen King, CB, Penn State
Kalen King is one of the more intriguing prospects that Brandon Beane could be looking at.Kaiir Elam has not panned out as he was expected to, which makes the prospect of drafting King even more interesting. Standing at 5'11, 188 pounds, King presents the perfect combination of length, speed, and intellect needed to be a successful cornerback in the NFL.
His build allows him to turn quickly into deep coverage and close in on defenders at a rapid pace. He has a great ability of anticipating throws and reading routes, as evidenced by his 3 INTs last season. On top of the 3 INTs, he had 30 tackles and 1 forced fumble.
Expect King to take the lead in the Penn State defense and improve on those numbers to help the Nittany Lions get to the Big 10 championship. Brandon Beane needs a solid CB2 to have alongside Tre White, and King will be able to immediately compete with Kaiir Elam during training camp.
