Christian Benford

The Buffalo Bills would release former first-round pick Tre'Davious White this offseason and also see Dane Jackson sign with the Carolina Panthers in free agency. This now clears the way for Christian Benford and Rasul Douglas to be the starting cornerbacks for the upcoming season.

Since the Bills drafted Benford in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, he has had to fight for his spot on the depth chart during training camp. However, each of the past two years he would leave training camp and enter the season as the starter. This past season was Benford's best with two interceptions, two forced fumbles and 10 passes defended (which were all career highs).

This training camp will be different as he should be the favorite and unless there is some drastic improvement from Kaiir Elam, Benford will have that spot locked up. The fact that the Bills didn't add any veterans or use any high draft picks on the position speaks to the confidence the coaching staff has in Benford.
