Christian Benford

The Buffalo Bills secondary has not looked the same since Tre'Davious White suffered his season-ending Achilles injury. Unless there is a trade made between now and the deadline next week, the starters for the remainder of the season will likely be Christian Benford and Dane Jackson.

The reason that I picked Benford is that he is the bigger cornerback and likely will draw the matchup against Mike Evans. He is a player that creates a matchup nightmare for most cornerbacks at 6'5" and 231 pounds.

Benford is going to be giving up about four inches and 25 pounds which can be a big factor in the red zone. It will be important for the second-year cornerback to be physical but not so much that he draws penalties that could extend drives for the Bucs and give them extra yards.

In this game, the coaching staff will try their best to give whoever is covering Evans extra help with a safety over the top. However, if Christian Benford can limit Mike Evans' impact it should help this defense bounce back.
