1.) Offensive lineman - Spencer Brown

Brown was drafted in 2021 as a third round pick out of Northern Iowa where he stands at 6’9” and 311 pounds. In the last two seasons, Brown has started at right tackle to protect Allen. Even though he is still in a development stage, the third year of a player’s rookie contract is what you can tell what he could be long term.

In two seasons with the Bills, Brown has yet to play a full season (having only played 13 games in 2021 and 14 games in 2022). He also has also been the cause for seven penalties in 2021 and six penalties in 2022.

In 2022, he gave up the eighth most pressures to opposing defenders which forced Allen to scramble and play off script. His pass blocking abilities will need major improvement if the Bills want to throw the ball down the field.

One factor that is in Brown’s favor is his ability to get up the field on run plays. Brown will need to show that he can improve his pass protecting skills in order to keep his job, as well as still be on the roster. He has the size and the capability to be a cornerstone for the Bills, but this minicamp will show the Bills if he can improve or if he is limited.
