1.) Dawson Knox - Tight End
A fan favorite who has a good connection with Josh Allen, Dawson Knox has been a player who provides great leadership and chemistry for the Bills. With that being said, Knox has also been inconsistent in his tenure with the Bills.
Last season, he signed a contract extension of four years worth $52 million a year. Knox has yet to reach over 600 receiving yards in a season and his yards per reception has gone down each year. Now granted, his 2021 season was statistically his best season (49 catches, 587 yards, 9 touchdowns) and then he signed his extension last season but then his stats decreased.
With Knox set to earn about $13 million a year with his new deal, production needs to increase. Even though the Bills just drafted tight end Dalton Kincaid, Knox will still be a go-to guy for Allen. The fact that Knox is just paid a little bit less than Travis Kelce proves that expectations for Knox are high, putting him as the number one player on this list who needs to step up this season.
