Greg Rousseau

Greg Rousseau was a first round pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2020 NFL Draft and over the past two seasons has steadily improved to the point of having eight sacks in 12 games last season. The expectation is that this season will be a breakout year for Rousseau.

Rousseau has two more years on his rookie contract but the Buffalo Bills can pick up a fifth year option next offseason that would keep him in Buffalo through the 2025 season. However, the hope is that he will remain in Western New York well past that and the two sides can work out a contract extension.

The Bills' defensive end position is interesting as it has a number of veterans at the top like Von Miller and Leonard Floyd, who might be the leaders this season but are in the later parts of their careers. The hope is that Rousseau can step into a role as that top defensive end that teams have to gameplan for and open up winnable matchups on other parts of the line of scrimmage.
