Dane Jackson

The Buffalo Bills in this game were not only without Tre'Davious White but their other starting cornerback, Christian Benford, was ruled out due to a shoulder injury. The Bills would go into this game with their number 3 and number 4 cornerbacks with Dane Jackson and Kaiir Elam as the starters.

This is not anything necessarily new for Dane Jackson as he would start 20 regular season games over the past two years. However, the former University of Pittsburgh cornerback stepped up and did a good job considering the circumstances.

He finished the game with eight total tackles and one pass break up, which saved a touchdown early in the game. Tight end Evan Engram was able to get behind the defense but Jackson was able to close the gap and get his hand in the way to knock the ball away.

If Christian Benford is able to return in Week 6 against the New York Giants, Dane Jackson should be the other starting cornerback. These two are the best the Bills have at the position moving forward.
