Kingsley Jonathan

The final player who looks to be a lock on the Buffalo Bills practice squad is defensive end Kingsley Jonathan. As is the case with most of these players, it is just a number game as the Bills have excellent depth at positions that they just don't have room for players that could make an impact.

Kingsley Jonathan is a perfect example of that as he has played very well this preseason, including a sack this past week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also was a key factor in the fumble recovery in the second half as Mason Rudolph couldn't handle a low snap. While Rudolph was trying to pick it up, Jonathan was able to get into the backfield and knock the ball away.

The Buffalo Bills may only keep four or five defensive ends and if they do that means players like Boogie Basham and Shaq Lawson are fighting for roster spots. There are going to be tough decisions at this position and Kingsley Jonathan likely doesn't factor into that discussion at this point.

However, with how much the team rotates during the course of the game, it is important to have as many capable pass rushers within the franchise as possible. Kinglsey Jonathan has proven that and would be a perfect choice for the practice squad but it wouldn't be surprising to see him be signed before the team has a chance to add him to the practice squad.
