Eli Ankou

Similar to cornerback, the Bills have created some great depth at defensive tackle and the team may only be able to keep four or five on the 53-man roster. Those spots seem pretty well guaranteed at this point with DaQuan Jones, Ed Oliver, Tim Settle Jr., Poona Ford, and Jordan Phillips.

This means a player like Eli Ankou probably doesn't fit on the 53-man roster but he has shown he can be a valuable part of this defensive line over the past few seasons. He played five regular season games in 2021 but spent most of last season on the practice squad.

However, injuries at the end of the regular season opened up the opportunity for Ankou to play in both playoff games. He knows this defense and has shown he can be a key part of the rotation when needed. If he is not signed anywhere else, the Bills should be excited to have a veteran like Ankou on their practice squad.
