5 things to watch for when the Buffalo Bills 2023 schedule is announced
The Buffalo Bills have known since the end of the 2022 season which teams they will be playing this upcoming season. In addition to the six games against the rest of the AFC East, the Bills will play every team in the AFC West and NFC East along with games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Cincinnati Bengals.
While the Bills have known their opponents for some time, the NFL is expected to announce later this week, although Peter King is reporting it may be delayed, in which order they will play those teams. The schedule of which they play these teams can be almost as important as who they play.
This upcoming season the Buffalo Bills are scheduled to have nine home games and eight away games. However, one of those home games is scheduled to be played over in London at Tottenham Spurs Stadium, which is the first of five things to note once the schedule is released later this week.
Buffalo Bills game in London
For the second time in franchise history, the Buffalo Bills are set to play a game overseas in London, which will actually be announced Wednesday and one day before the rest of the NFL schedule. The last time they played in London was in 2015 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, in a game that many fans would probably like to forget.
In that game, the Jaguars jumped out to a 27-13 halftime lead after the Bills had three turnovers in the first half and Jacksonville returned two for touchdowns. In the second half, Buffalo would make a comeback with 18 unanswered points and take a 31-27 lead late in the fourth after Corey Graham returned an interception for a touchdown.
However, the Jaguars would answer back with a touchdown to take a 34-31 lead and the Buffalo Bills would turn the ball over on downs on the next drive and end any chance of securing the win.
When looking ahead to this game, it will be notable who the Buffalo Bills play but also when they play them during the season. The reason is that it could determine the second thing worth noting once the schedule is announced.
