1.) Middle linebacker position is the weakest spot on the roster

If there is one true red flag on this Bills roster, it is the middle linebacker position that was vacated by Tremaine Edmunds this past offseason.

It’s not the fact that Edmunds was not re-signed by the Bills, but it seems like the coaching staff and upper management did not address the position as one of their top priorities. They have Terrel Bernard, Tyrel Dodson, and A.J. Klein who were on the roster last season, as well as them drafting Dorian Williams this year in the third round.

Throughout preseason, there have been more downs than ups at the position because of inconsistent play by Dodson and Bernard not playing in all three preseason games due to a hamstring injury he suffered right before the first game against the Colts.

At this point, it might be worth considering exploring the free agent market once preseason cuts occur this upcoming week or just keep developing Bernard and hope that his play gets better as time goes on.
