Who is playing next to Taylor Rapp at safety?

Staying in the secondary, the Bills have significant questions at safety for the first time since Sean McDermott took over as head coach. In 2017, McDermott's first year as head coach, the Bills signed Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer as free agents.

Those two would develop into one of the top safety duos over the past seven seasons with the Bills. However, the team felt it was time to make a change and they released Poyer and have not re-signed Micah Hyde, who is still a free agent.

Instead, the Bills signed Taylor Rapp to a new contract but brought in new players like Mike Edwards and Cole Bishop. The expectation was that Edwards would be the starter, at least initially because of his experience, however Edwards is dealing with a shoulder injury that has kept him sidelined through OTAs.

If Edwards is not able to practice this week, then it is a big chance for rookie Cole Bishop to play with the starters or even Damar Hamlin, who has looked good during OTAs.
