Will Rasul Douglas be at Buffalo Bills minicamp?

While minicamp is mandatory, that hasn't stopped players in the past from skipping, most of the time due to a contract issue. According to Sal Capaccio of WGR550, Rasul Douglas is the only player who hasn't been seen during the open practices to the media.

The Bills traded for Douglas during the season last year and he quickly stepped in as a starter for this defense. He made a big impact in this secondary and had six turnovers in nine games.

Entering this season, the Bills once again will need Rasul Douglas to once again be a starter and likely opposite Christian Benford. However, he is also entering the final year of his contract and while nothing has been reported in terms of him holding out, it is worth noting that he was the only player to not practice with the team yet this offseason.

If Douglas is not there this week, it will be a great opportunity for Kaiir Elam to show he has improved and can step in if needed. This one question should be answered very early in the week when Sean McDermott should meet with the media before the first practice.
