1.) Who will get a lead in the backup quarterback competition?

Leading up to the first preseason game, the presumption at the backup quarterback position was that it would be Kyle Allen backing up Josh Allen going into the regular season. After the Bills’ first game, that narrative has changed now with an open quarterback competition between Kyle Allen and Matt Barkley, per Sean McDermott.

Starting out last Saturday’s game, Allen couldn’t seem to find a rhythm and struggled against the Colts (8/15 for 122 passing yards and one interception). On the other hand, Barkley was the MVP where he went 14/15 for 172 yards and two touchdowns.

Now that there is a competition to see who will back up Josh Allen, it is another battle that fans can keep an eye on going into Pittsburgh. This competition may not be settled after the Steelers game so Bills fans will have something to monitor even in week three when the Bills head to Chicago to take on the Bears.
