Who on the roster bubble secures a spot on the 53-man roster?

Shortly after the final preseason game, the Buffalo Bills are going to have to begin the process of cutting their roster down to 53 players. The deadline to complete this is Tuesday afternoon which doesn't leave that much time to finalize the roster.

At this point, the Buffalo Bills should have a good idea of what the majority of the roster is going to look like. However, there may still be a handful of roster spots up for grabs that could be decided on Saturday against the Chicago Bears.

The wide receiver position is one that has some questions and whether or not they keep six or seven wide receivers with Andy Isabella likely being impacted the most in this decision. The offensive tackle position has lost a lot of depth in short period of time with the retirement of Brandon Shell and season ending injury for Tommy Doyle. This could open the door for Ryan Van Demark to grab a spot on the 53-man roster.

On the defensive side of the ball, the biggest questions seem to be on the defensive line with players like Jordan Phillips, Shaq Lawson, and Boogie Basham likely trying to play their way into a roster spot this season. This the players final chance to make their case and it will be interesting to see who emerges.
