The Buffalo Bills are consistently one of the top defenses in the league, and this year there are more questions about this unit. With Jordan Poyer out and possibly Micah Hyde, fans are concerned if the Bills can continue that consistency. Buffalo also lost Leonard Floyd, who was a big part of the Bills pass rush. Is there someone currently on the Bills' roster that can achieve double-digit sacks in 2024?
Buffalo's secondary will look different as well, with Poyer off the Miami, but it's still a possibility that Micah Hyde could return. If he does, is he the starting safety opposite Taylor Rapp or someone else? Despite the loss of Tre White, the Bills have largely been without him for the better part of two seasons. Returning corners Rasul Douglas and Christian Benford formed one of the top duos in the league last season.
The rankings considered not only the skill position players but also the performance of the respective offensive lines. You can have an outstanding group of receivers or running backs, but a poor offensive line can hurt you, greatly diminishing your offensive abilities. The quarterback plays a significant role in these rankings too, but it's not the end all be all. Buffalo has some tough offenses to face in 2024.
