Buffalo did not address edge rusher in the draft, unfortunately. The draft just didn't fall that way for the Bills. But, Brandon Beane has several options in free agency. There are still a lot of veterans available, and one of the very best at the position is Yannick Ngakoue.
Still only 28 years old and somehow without a job, Ngakoue has bounced around for what seems like his entire career. Since entering the league back in 2016, Ngakoue has played for a total of five teams. And that's pretty wild for a guy who has never finished a season with less than 8.0 sacks and has been a staple of consistency in terms of what you want out of a pass rusher.
Has he been elite? You could argue he was bordering that territory from time to time, but Ngakoue is simply a pure, consistent pass rusher.
The Bills aren't qutie sure how long they'll be without Von Miller, of course, and it's up to Gregory Rousseau to lead the charge. But, the rest of the guys up front aren't nearly as consistent as the Bills need them to be. Ngakoue would step right into a starting position in Buffalo and be exactly what this team needs right now.
