Free agents to give Buffalo Bills embarrassment of riches after NFL Draft: Matt Ryan, QB
Earlier in the offseason, the Bills signed veteran Kyle Allen to be the team's backup quarterback. However, we're well past the initial burst of free agency, and now the draft, and Buffalo could upgrade the position, still.
Long-time veteran Matt Ryan is 37 years old, but hasn't given a signal that he's ready to retire just yet. If he was willing to accept a backup role, strictly because he wants to continue playing the game, then the BIlls would be a great spot for him.
His leadership and experience, alone, would be valuable to a team like Buffalo. But, if Allen were to ever go down with an injury, the Bills would have a guy who has been there and done it on the biggest of stages, unlike Allen.
Again, Ryan would have to agree to a backup role, but at this point in the offseason, there aren't any starting gigs open.
