Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are the only team to loss to the Arizona Cardinals this season but in a wide-open NFC, this team has a chance to make a run at a Super Bowl. The strength of this team is on the defensive side of the ball but did lose one starter at cornerback already this season.

Their top cornerback Trevon Diggs suffered a torn ACL during practice in September and is now out for the season. The Cowboys still have Stephon Gilmore but Elam could potentially replace DaRon Bland, who was a fifth round pick in 2022 by the Cowboys.

The reason that the Cowboys make a lot of sense as a potential trade partner with the Buffalo Bills is that they not only run more man coverage but Elam addresses a need this season but also past this year. While Gilmore is starting this year, he is in the final year of his contract so Elam could be the starter opposite Diggs next season once he returns from his injury.
