4 takeaways from first week of Buffalo Bills training camp
Jordan Poyer is healthy and playing at a high level
One of the surprises of the offseason was the return of Jordan Poyer, who was a free agent and seemed almost certain to be playing football somewhere else this season. However, the two sides were able to agree on a new two-year contract and the Bills were able to keep their star safety duo of Poyer and Micah Hyde together for at least one more season.
Last year, was another productive season for Jordan Poyer with four interceptions and eight passes defended while being named to his first career Pro Bowl. However, injuries seemed to pile up on Poyer and while he only missed four games, towards the end of the season the injuries seemed to impact his play.
In this training camp though, Jordan Poyer has looked healthy and playing at a very high level through the first two weeks. He has had a number of interceptions to begin training camp, like this one earlier in the week. The combination of Poyer, along with Tre'Davious White, entering this season healthy is going to be a huge boost for the secondary.
