Javon Bullard

Javon Bullard is an interesting prospect. He is designated as a safety, but much like another outstanding draft prospect Cooper DeJean, has position versatility to play both safety and corner. According to NFLDraftBuzz.com, Bullard is probably the best prospect in playing man to man coverage out of all the safeties in this class.

This could come in handy for this Bills defense that has Jahmile Addae as their new DBs coach who specializes in a more man coverage system. Along with being an elite athlete, Bullard has a high football IQ to help anticipate where the opposing QB is going with the ball. That's another thing that McDermott values in this system, having a great football IQ and high instincts to be at the right place at the right time.

The only knock on Bullard from a physical aspect is he is a little undersized, but when has that stopped McD or Beane from giving these players a chance? Jordan Poyer is roughly the same size and weight, but he played a lot bigger than his frame. I feel this is the same thing Bullard can bring to the table.
