Curtis Samuel

Curtis Samuel was a second round pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2017 and played four seasons there before signing a three-year contract worth $34.5 million with Washington. This was a notable contract at the time and the expectation was that Samuel could take his next step with Washington.

However, now being seven years into his career he has yet to show that as he has had 700 or more receiving yards only once in his career. In the past two seasons with the Commanders, he has had around 60 receptions, 650 receiving yards, and four receiving touchdowns per season.

The Buffalo Bills could take a look at Samuel as he probably has a big advocate on the coaching staff in offensive coordinator Joe Brady. He was his offensive coordinator in 2020, which also was a career season for him with career-highs in receptions (77) and receiving yards (851).

If the Bills can sign him on a prove-it type deal, it would be worth exploring. However, he probably has a better market than that and could get more money elsewhere.
