Interior Offensive Line
This next one might be cheating a bit to group the guards and centers together and call it interior offensive line. However, the positions are pretty interchangeable as evidenced by the Bills moving their starting guard from last season, Connor McGovern, inside to center to replace Mitch Morse.
The loss of Mitch Morse might be the biggest among the players who were released prior to the start of free agency. He has been the leader and the anchor of the offensive line since joining Buffalo in 2019 and these are big shoes to fill for McGovern.
It appears that the plan is to have David Edwards start at left guard in place of McGovern and with that said, the depth is really concerning after that. The Bills did sign free agents Will Clapp, who is primarily a center, and La'el Collins, who has been an offensive tackle but could play guard if needed.
While the Bills have a plan right now on their starting five, it doesn't feel like anything is set in stone and the front office probably will bring in multiple players to compete for one of those backup spots or even as the starter.
