Jordan Phillips

The final player is defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, who hasn't even had the chance to participate in a training camp practice. The Bills' defensive tackle is still recovering from shoulder surgery he had in the offseason and has begun training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

Outside of "Trust the Process", the second most phrase used by this franchise has been "the best ability is availability" and unfortunately for Jordan Phillips he hasn't been available yet. This has opened the door for other defensive tackles to make a big impression, like Tim Settle.

Prior to Monday's practice, defensive line coach Eric Washington specifically mentioned the performance of Settle to this point, according to WGR550's Sal Capaccio. The Buffalo Bills have five defensive tackles that have a legitimate case to make the 53-man roster but the team may only have room for four.

That final spot was expected to come down to Settle and Phillips but if Tim Settle keeps playing this way, Jordan Phillips might not even get a chance to show what he can do.
