This season is going to be a pivotal one for Boogie Basham, who the Buffalo Bills drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was the second defensive end the Bills took after selecting Greg Rousseau in the first round.

However, to this point their careers have been significantly different as Rousseau has been a starter over the past two seasons while Basham has struggled to get on the field consistently. In his career, Basham doesn't have any starts and only 4.5 sacks in the regular season.

With the benefit of hindsight, these were four players that would have been much better draft picks for the Buffalo Bills.

Josh Myers

The interior offensive line has been a point of focus for the Buffalo Bills this offseason and the team has added a number of players at guard. The center position is another area the Bills may need to address in the near future as Mitch Morse could be entering his final season due to a big salary cap hit in 2024.

In 2021, the Bills could have drafted Josh Myers, who was selected the pick right after Basham by the Green Bay Packers. The former Ohio State center would play only six games as a rookie due to injuries but started all 17 games last season at center.

Myers may not have passed Mitch Morse on the depth chart but would have been a good backup to have on the roster and develop into a starter when the need was to arise.
