Chop Robinson

Chop Robinson is expected to be selected somewhere late in the first to early in the second round during the 2024 NFL Draft. He is an incredibly athletic pass rusher with the third best Athleticism Score from the Combine among defensive ends.

However, he is not necessarily the biggest defensive end at only 6'3" and 254 pounds which could create challenges against bigger offensive tackles in the NFL. Another big concern is that Robinson wasn't very productive at Penn State with only 9.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for a loss over two seasons.

There will be teams that will be excited about what could be with Robinson and the Bills have shown they will value athletic traits over production for players coming out of college. However, for some fans this might bring back memories of Aaron Maybin, who also was an athletic but smallish pass rusher from Penn State with modest production.

The biggest difference will be that Maybin was a Top 10 pick when he was selected and this pick is at the later parts of the first round. The Bills can take some risk at this point of the NFL Draft and Chop Robinson would certainly be able to learn from some of the best to ever play the position in Von Miller.
