The defense has been a main focal point of the Buffalo Bills since Sean McDermott was hired, having established one of the best units for five of his six head coaching seasons. As the Bills prepare for training camp, this year could be the most competition that the Bills' defense will have had at training camp in the past few seasons.
With Leslie Frazier no longer with the team as the defensive coordinator, the Bills may have a new approach that might be implemented. There is a reason to believe that the defense may be more aggressive than they have been.
If McDermott and his staff agree to stick to a 4-2-5 formation, they will need to find a replacement at linebacker and test other corners to see who can pair up with the trio of Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer and Tre’Davious White.
