The Buffalo Bills made a number of tough decisions earlier this offseason by releasing players who had been with the franchise for a number of years. One of those players was Tre'Davious White, who was actually the first pick ever by Sean McDermott as head coach of the Bills.

Early in his career, White was a key part of the defense and one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL but injuries over the past three years limited what he could do on the field. The Bills would end up deciding to release him prior to free agency but with a June 1st designation.

This means that even though White was able to sign with a new team as early as March, the Bills wouldn't get the cap space until this weekend. The benefit of doing this type of move is that the dead cap can be spread between this season and the next.

In addition to spreading out the dead cap, the Bills now have over $10 million in cap space to improve their roster and these are four players that could be options.
