2.) The Buffalo Bills defeat the Chiefs in the AFC championship game
With the Bills looking up the mountain to the Kansas City Chiefs, who have started a mini dynasty having won two super bowls in the last four years and making the AFC championship game every year since Patrick Mahomes took over as the starting quarterback.
The Bills lost in the AFC championship game to the Chiefs back in the 2020-21 season 38-24. The Bills jumped out to a 9-0 lead before giving up 21 unanswered points and eventually falling short of the super bowl that season.
That was a season where almost no one potentially envisioned the Bills one game away from competing in their first Super Bowl since 1993. While the Chiefs have officially solidified themselves as the team to beat in the NFL, the Bills will have more competition in front of them besides the Chiefs.
If the Bills are able to make it back to the conference championship game and defeat the Chiefs, that would be the second best thing to happen to them in 2023.
