Buffalo Bills signing Leonard Floyd

The final contract decision that will pay off for the Buffalo Bills was signing Leonard Floyd much later in the offseason. The Bills were patient with this move and were able to sign him to a one-year deal worth $7 million, which is something that Floyd should easily outproduce this season.

In the past three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, Floyd has had at least nine sacks each year and this season on this defense he should come close to that total with the Buffalo Bills.

The addition of Leonard Floyd also gives the coaching staff some insurance in case Von Miller is not ready for the start of the season. Last year, after Miller's injury the pass rush really struggled but with a veteran like Floyd, he should fill a similar role that Miller did that allows players like Greg Rousseau and A.J. Epenesa to get winnable matchups.

Once Miller is back to full strength, it gives the Bills depth at a position that might be the best in the entire league. A move like this addressed a number of areas and is why it will be one of the contract decisions that pay off the most for the Buffalo Bills.
