James Cook

One player who directly benefited from Spencer Brown's improvement was running back James Cook. The Buffalo Bills drafted Cook in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft and he was a complementary back as a rookie. After Devin Singletary left in free agency though, it was going to be James Cook's backfield.

He certainly responded to the increased workload as he had over 1,100 rushing yards and over 1,500 yards from scrimmage with six total touchdowns. Cook would earn his first career Pro Bowl nomination for his performance this season.

While Cook definitely took steps forward, there is room for improvement even still as he did make key mistakes late in the season. There were a number of critical drops near or in the end zone that would have made his numbers look even better and if he can eliminate those, he has a chance to be a Top 5 running back in the league.
