Entering the 2023 season, the Buffalo Bills had one of the oldest teams in the NFL with an average of age of 26.3 years old. It made sense for the Bills to try to lean into older veterans as they tried to get over the hump and into the Super Bowl.

That didn't work out that way and there are a number of players who were on the team that could be at the end of their career and played their final snaps in the NFL. These are four of those players from the Buffalo Bills last season that fall into that category.

Micah Hyde

The most notable player is safety Micah Hyde, who has been a key part of the defense for the past seven seasons. However, Hyde has dealt with some neck injuries the past two seasons and missed almost all of the 2022 season and three games this past year.

In seven seasons, Hyde had 417 total tackles, 16 interceptions, three forced fumbles and three fumble recovers in 95 games. He would be selected as a second-team All-Pro in 2021 but there is a case to be made that he deserved more postseason awards for his performance.

After the season, Micah Hyde seriously considered retirement, according to Mike Catalana with 13WHAM. The season is grueling and after some time to rest, Hyde might change his mind but at 33 years old it wouldn't be surprising if he decides to call it a career.
