4 Buffalo Bills who need to get off to a fast start at OTAs
The Buffalo Bills are kicking off the final phase of organized team activities before their mandatory minicamp on June 13-15th. These next three weeks will be the last time the team is together prior to arriving in Rochester for training camp at the end of July.
While there is not much decided in terms of playing time or depth charts during this period, there are a few players from last year's team that are facing an uphill climb this summer. These players are either trying to keep their spot on the depth chart or put this past year behind him them and show they are ready for an expanded role.
These are four players that would certainly benefit from a great stretch of practices to build some momentum ahead of training camp.

Ryan Bates
The Buffalo Bills invested a lot in the interior of the offensive line this offseason by signing Connor McGovern and then drafting O'Cyrus Torrence in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Bills also signed veteran David Edwards and will be getting Ike Boettger seemingly fully recovered from his Achilles injury in 2021.
This raises the question of where Ryan Bates fits into this offensive line. The Bills matched the Chicago Bears four-year offer last offseason and Bates would be the starting right guard this past season.
However, the offensive line struggled last year and this is one of the reasons the front office focused so much on this part of the roster. There is nothing guaranteed to Torrence at this point but Ryan Bates will need an excellent few months if he wants to remain the starter.
