Boogie Basham

Another player who has struggled with consistency in his career has been defensive end Boogie Basham. The former second round pick hasn't been part of the rotation for most of his first two seasons and entering training camp he was not guaranteed a spot on the 53-man roster and needed to show some improvement.

In the first preseason game against Basham he was very effective and a presence on the field with three total tackles and a sack. These types of games are not necessarily uncommon for Basham but the issue has been that he has not been able to string productive games together.

Last week's game was a great start for Boogie Basham but he is still in a position battle with players like Shaq Lawson and Shane Ray. He will need another good game against the Steelers and will be a chance to show he can be a presence in this rotation and productive on a weekly basis.
