Kaiir Elam

The other starting spot that is still up for grabs is the outside cornerback position opposite Tre'Davious White. The team has three players vying for that spot with Dane Jackson, Christian Benford and last year's first round pick Kaiir Elam.

The reason I picked Elam this week is that he surprisingly seems to have the most to prove. Dane Jackson and Christian Benford might not have the upside that Elam does but both have been more consistent than Elam.

As for Kaiir Elam, he is certainly more physical but almost too physical to the point that veterans like Stefon Diggs were taking issue with it. In addition to the issues in the practice, he also was called for a defensive pass interference in the preseason game against the Colts.

With Tre'Davious White on the other side, the Bills may elect to go with a more reliable cornerback like Dane Jackson. It will be important for Kaiir Elam to show that consistency against the Steelers.
