The Buffalo Bills are set to play their second preseason game of the season on Saturday evening when they travel to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers. The focus still remains on player evaluation during the preseason and trying to find the best 53 players to build their roster for the upcoming season.

Unfortunately, it is not only finding 53 players but also starters as the Bills are entering this game still have two starting roles that are very much undecided with one having almost no favorite at this point. That certainly isn't ideal but could change after this game and that is why this player is first on this list to watch on defense in the game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Buffalo Bills are still looking for the replacement for Tremaine Edmunds at middle linebacker. Earlier in training camp, it looked to be between Tyrel Dodson and Terrel Bernard but with Dodson not playing great against the Colts in the first preseason game and Bernard still dealing with a hamstring injury, the Bills don't really have a clear option at this point.

That is why it wasn't overly surprising to hear Sean McDermott mention A.J. Klein a few times on Thursday when meeting with the media. He specifically said communication is a big part of it and being able to run the defense, according to Joe Buscaglia.

Klein certainly knows this defense but the question is how he does after the snap. He doesn't have the athleticism that Edmunds has and can how does that impact this defense? If he shows he can be effective after the snap on Saturday, he certainly should be considered the favorite as the Bills probably want to find an answer sooner rather than later.
