Poona Ford

The loss of DaQuan Jones might be the biggest for this defense after Matt Milano. This is not to say that Jones is better than Tre'Davious White but he was playing incredible football as a one-tech and made the players around him better.

The way that Jones can fill the middle allowed linebackers like Milano and Terrel Bernard free paths to the ball-carrier but also didn't allow offenses to regularly double team Ed Oliver, who is off to a great start this season.

The best player to replace DaQuan Jones might not be Jordan Phillips or Tim Settle but actually Poona Ford. The reason being that Phillips and Settle are more three-tech, a similar role to Oliver, while Ford is that bigger defensive tackle that can anchor the middle of the line.

The Bills are going to need all three defensive tackles to take on bigger roles but it wouldn't be surprising if Ford gets the start next to Oliver against the New York Giants.
