Christian Benford

Christian Benford has been the starting cornerback since winning the job during training camp. The second-year cornerback would beat out Dane Jackson and Kaiir Elam and started the first four games of the season.

Benford has played well to begin the season with 11 total tackles, and two passes defended. He also has not allowed a touchdown this season while being targeted 13 times. He did miss this past week against the Jaguars due to a shoulder injury and the defense definitely missed him.

When Benford does return, he not only will return as the starter but also as the team's number one cornerback to replace Tre'Davious White. The competition for Benford is going to get tougher as White has typically covered the opposing team's number one wide receiver and that responsibility will now belong to Christian Benford.

The Buffalo Bills will certainly try to scheme Christian Benford help by rolling safeties like Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde in his direction but there will be a lot of pressure on Benford moving forward.
