Curtis Samuel

Curtis Samuel has been a pretty solid player in his career thus far. In the last few seasons with the Washington Commanders, he wasn't the focal point of that offense. It was mostly Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson who was their top receivers.

The Commanders also have been the victim of poor quarterback play with Sam Howell, Taylor Heinicke, and the "ghost" of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Before the Commanders, he also played with the Panthers and they also, you guessed it, had poor quarterback play as well. Samuel played with Teddy Bridgewater, Kyle Allen and Cam Newton who was at the tail end of his career.

His best season did come in the 2020 season, with 851 receiving yards, 200 rushing yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, and two rushing touchdowns. This is also the year he had Joe Brady as his offensive coordinator.

So because Samuel is going to be a bigger piece of this offense than he was with the Commanders, and with the fact that he has a previous relationship with Brady, he can be a big time target for Josh Allen. Along with being a wide receiver, he can also be a benefit in the run game as well to keep defenses on their toes.
