2.) Sam Howell

One of the biggest questions that took place in the offseason was whether or not the Commanders made the right move to look at quarterback Sam Howell as the starter after releasing Carson Wentz. Through two games, Howell has been impressive considering that he has been sacked 10 times already on the season.

He is completing over 65 percent of his throws for 501 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. He has been playing smart football which has kept the Commanders offense going for the last two weeks. He has also shown that he likes to throw the ball toward wide receiver Jahan Dotson and tight end Logan Thomas the most so far.

With Howell already enduring 10 sacks going into Week 3, the Bills’ defensive line has the opportunity to make that number go up and get to Howell. Despite taking hits in the backfield, the Commanders have still managed to move the ball down the field. If the Buffalo defense that showed up against the Raiders comes to Washington, Howell could be in for a long day. Take away the safety valves in Dotson and Thomas, and Howell will have limited options to go to while he tries to avoid the pressure up front.
